I aim to create forms and surfaces that reflect the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Santa Barbara.
Most recently, buckets, baskets and bags have been the direction my clay work has been exploring. I like attaching handles of wood found at the edges of the local creeks where I hike. It brings me back to the natural roots of working with clay, the most elemental of art forms.
I received a B.A at UC Santa Barbara and have led art classes in local schools. Early on I sold my pots at the Sunday art show on the waterfront. I now take requests from interested buyers out of my studio in the hills of Santa Barbara.
Heritage Goods in Carpinteria, CA is now showing some of my functional ware for sale.
